It has been a crazy week or two. Everyone in the house was struck with illness, of course I am the only one who is still holding on to it. I usually do not ask help to run my household but I had to ask my sister to take my son to his first school dance. That broke my heart. Moreover, I thought about asking one of the church members to cook food for my family (yes, the thought crossed my mind). For those who personally know me, yes I am on my deathbed... MA'MA where are you!!!!!!
I have taken everything under the sun both herbal and pharmaceutical and nothing.... Still sick. Therefore, you ask how I am blogging. I walked into the different rooms of my house and saw the clothes on the floor, dirty dishes, litter, school papers not checked, floors not swept or mopped, etc... Mommy is cured!
So, after the children finished their testing for The Music Teachers' Association of California Certificate of Merit Program I had them to clean my house (to mommy's specifications of course) and it was back to being sick.
Can a dirty house be the new miracle drug? Probably not, but it did get me up and going for a few minutes.
These are the pieces that my children had to play for their testing. They performed these pieces 2 weeks ago at a nursing home.
For information on their outfits see my blog post "The Yellow Ghost" http://snoodytots.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-yellow-ghost.html
Enjoy.

Serenity....
Peace, calm, quiet, serenity.... Those words come to mind when I
look at this dress. Pure peace. Although not my usual attire for church,
I donned this cute little number because I get that same feeling when I walk
into the house of the Lord. A certain weight is lifted off my shoulders.
I am taken to a place like the one pictured on this dress... A
place where all in peaceful... A place where it is just you and your Heavenly
Father sharing a moment of bliss, a moment of praise and worship. There
is no one else around. No one but your serenity.
Enjoy!

Want Mustard on Those Dogs?
Oh, how I have lusted
after this sweater? Who doesn't love wiener dogs? Then two wiener
dogs on a mustard colored sweater? Yeah, gotta get that one.
ModCloth offers this beautiful sweater under their private label Bea
& Dot. It is a label that is named after the owners (or former
owners) grandmothers. How cute! I love the sweater but it is too
thin for the price. However, for the weather in California just right.
I wonder if they were thinking wiener dogs and mustard when the paired
the two? Things that make you go hmmm...

The Yellow Ghost...
"Wear me... Please
wear me!" I know I am not hearing things. I looked in my
closet and thought my mind was playing tricks on me, but sure enough, these
yellow beauties were speaking to me. The called to me, beckoned to burst
out of the box, the closet, the cardboard shelter that held them hostage for
years.
I often tell people my
outfits start with the shoes. I will see a pair of shoes that catch my
attention, call out to my very being and I must have them. Sadly, they
will sit in my closet for days, months, sometimes years until just the right
outfit presents itself. On several occasions, I have pulled out this
beautiful pair of shoes only to put them back because no dress could match
their beauty, until I found this dotted frock.
Therefore, today my
yellow ghost I will "Wear You"....
Enjoy!

Fall Back.. Spring Forward!
How
befitting was our outfits today. Mixtures of earth tones for the twins
and I. In addition, Sissy was beautiful in her colorful spring floral
dress. With the official welcoming of spring just around the corner and in
celebration of daylight savings time, I was in the mood for birds and flowers.
I did not want to fall back completely into fall clothing and I did not
want to totally spring forward into my spring wardrobe. Therefore, I was
able to get the best of both with a family ensemble.
Enjoy!
